Music — A Different Way of Expressing Myself

Music has been a part of my life since childhood. I’ve always believed that music has a unique ability to express emotions that words sometimes cannot. It can calm the mind, bring back memories, and connect us to moments in our lives.

I started playing the piano by ear when I was young. Rather than learning through formal lessons, I would listen to songs I loved and try to figure out the notes myself. One of the biggest inspirations for me was the music from the Tamil film 3 (Moonu), composed by Anirudh Ravichander. As I became more interested in music, YouTube became my teacher. I spent hours watching tutorials, experimenting with different melodies, and gradually developing my own way of playing. Over time, I learned to adapt my style to a wide variety of songs rather than simply following a particular method.

At the end of 2023, I picked up the guitar, inspired by the hauntingly beautiful theme from The Last of Us. It was exciting to approach music from a completely different instrument and start learning all over again. I also enjoy composing music in my free time. For me, creating music is less about perfection and more about capturing a feeling, a thought, or a moment and turning it into something I can hear.

Music has become another way for me to explore my creativity — completely different from the analytical side of my career and the physical challenge of cycling.

Sometimes I express myself through science.
Sometimes through the road.
And sometimes, through music.
